A Fresh Start

Hello blogland.

Yes, it's been a long while since my last blogging. I've been recovering from what seemed to be the hellish never ending Monday we call SUMMER. What I can tell you is that it's been a long one, and strange as this is going to sound, I can't wait for the new semester to start.

Y'know those days where you wake up and just nothing, and I do mean, NOTHING goes right? I've had a three month stretch of that going on. It's been a trying summer for me, I've sadly lost a few friends, and made more enemies than I would have ever hoped for. (Then again, no one hopes to lose friends, much less make enemies.) But in the shadow of despair was a beacon of light that rose me to my feet to carry on. In one summer I've grown much closer to my friends, some new and some old, and I feel as if I've been blessed with these individuals in my life. Not to mention the someone special that seems to have dropped from the sky, only to land squarely on top of me. (No innuendo intended.) She knows who she is, and I couldn't be more grateful to have her.

I've decided to embark on a few "projects", as I like to call them. Some cool, some kinda cool, arnd some nerdy. I've been painstakingly trying to write a movie, and for those that know me, that is a daunting task. Not only that, but to expand my versatility as a performer and all around talented guy, I'm attempting to write a musical. A jukebox musical to be exact. Using one of my most favorite solo artist's music as inspiration as well. Seal is his name. ;) That's one project I intend to keep you updated on. The last one, as I hesitate to let on how big of a nerd I really am, is a play through of one of my favorite series of all time. It should come to no surprise that I am a gamer, though not one of incredibly ridiculous proportions *cough* WOW NERDS *cough*. The series I refer to is Resident Evil, spanning 7 games in total....God help me.

In terms of an update, I think this has served it's purpose. It's time to start a new leaf. This is my time, this is where I make my big move and show what I'm made of. This is my fresh start.

Going Out Of My Mind

I know I've been out for quite a time. It's been an interesting 2 months to say the least, and not entirely in the best of ways.

Do you ever feel like no matter what you do, you just can't please the please the people you need, or want to please? No matter what, someone is looking down on you and making judgments on every freaking thing you do. It's not fair...why should someone that tries so hard to make other people happy get the short end of the stick? Someone who has done everything right for his entire life gets the worst of it when he makes one mistake, and no one will let him make it up. I'm tired of being that scapegoat who whenever something goes wrong, no one will be there to help.

On top of that, why is it that a parent thinks that they have absolute control of a child for eternity? I'm 21, I go out. Get over it. I've been recently slapped with a curfew....at 21 years of age! Do I seem a bit irritated? Because I'm way beyond it. How does that shape responsibility? If I've done everything right up to this point, why is it that still they don't trust me? I've bent over backwards, and you, as a family, have the GALL to pull a stunt like that. I'm sorry, that I want a bit of freedom over them to find myself, but isn't that what life is about? Finding yourself? I'm sorry I turned from what you wanted me to be, but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't get the respect I think i deserve. Maybe when I'm gone, then things will change and you'll see my outlook.

I need help from my friends, now more than ever. I just need to know that there is someone, even just one person, that I can count on.

New Year, New Hope, Same Dreams

Where do I begin? It's a new year! Yes, it I'm aware of it being February, but you know what they say, "Better late than never!" It's been anything but dull for me these past few months. I started the year with two people walking out of my life. While normally I would mourn endlessly for the loss, upon retrospect, these people had done nothing but hold me back and tell me that I needed to give up. One was my best friend who decided to follow a different path to gain his family's appreciation, and the other doesn't understand what it means to live a life that is worth living. It's their loss, and I wish them well in their endeavors.

Valentine's day is coming up. Usually, it's a day of great malice and, well, heartbreak for me. For one who is usually chipper throughout the remaining days of the year, this is the one day where sometimes I just really hate being alive. (Whole 'nother story there.) This year however....is different. I have a date, and while I don't ramble about them much this one is different. Something I'm playing by ear, and that's all I'm going to say about it.

This is going to be a big year for me, this is the year when I finally leave the protective nest I've come to know, love, and at times hate, and leave to fulfil my destiny among those who most care for me. Dax, Chelsea, we are a team! Nothing can stop us!

To my humble readers, this won't be the last time you hear from me! 'Til next we meet.
